New Issue of THE MARK TWAIN JOURNAL now available

The Spring 2022 issue of the Mark Twain Journal is now available! The current issue leads with Ghaylen Najjar’s article “Teaching Huckleberry Finn in the Land of Hannibal,” his gripping, personal account of teaching Mark Twain’s most famous work in Tunisia. Along with several book reviews, the issue features an insightful article on Tom Sawyer’s common sense philosophy, two articles about Twain on two different rivers (Mississippi and Missouri), an article on Twain’s use of encoded writing, an article on Twain and elocution, and a serious consideration of Twain’s raucous 1601.
